¶ 1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 In September 2007 I started writing online at a blog then hosted by OpenWetWare. My first interest was in writing about our work on Open Notebooks but the scope has expanded and shifted over the years to include a wide range of topics on how research is carried out, communicated, assessed and managed. This project aims to collect the most interesting and relevant of my writing over that period, along with a some relevant openly licensed pieces from others, to see how those ideas stand up over time.
¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 The process will be to first collect pieces in fairly raw form and to see what kind of groups they form. Then they will edited with the intention of making them more coherent as a whole and bringing the content up to date where appropriate. Comments are welcome and can be made at the paragraph level. They will be used to improve the text as a whole. I have no specific plans as to how to publish the collection at this stage or a strong commitment as to when the collection will be “finished”.
